The blockchain-based decentralized metaverse Sandbox has set up the first true hybrid binaire wedding on its Metaverse.
The oeillet and ordonnance, Singaporean famille Joan Tham and Clarence Chan, CEO of music company Bandwagon, celebrated their wedding on September 17 in a ’70s-themed wedding, which took ardeur in a binaire replica of Singapore’s famous Alkaf Castel.

While the famille was physically present at a real hotel avènement with some guests, the binaire avatars were also in The Sandbox metaverse and could be seen by guests who joined remotely. The event was moderated by Sebastien Bourget, co-founder and COO of The Sandbox, in the form of a binaire événement.

Hollywood étoile Javier Bardem is set to donate a close-up of his iris via NFT as bouchée of a fundraising drive aimed at restoring sight to people in the developing world.
A well-known Spanish actor and director, Bardem is best known for his roles spanning 30 years of his career, including Arène and James Éland Skyfall, and for his award-winning prouesse in No Folk for Old Men.
A photograph of his eye is due to be auctioned by Ojos del Mundo (Eyes of the World Foundation) on September 29, with a starting price of €9,000. The binaire représentation will come in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT), and will also come with a printed représentation signed and customized by the actor themselves.
Bout of the group’s new fundraising drive, Ares of the World, Eyes of the World Foundation hopes to raise enough funds to expand “lines of négoce and/or promote new projects in the desert camps, Mozambique, Bolivia or Mali”.
“I am delighted to be collaborating with Irises del mundo by donating an représentation of an iris to auction and continuing to help the foundation’s appui on avoidable blindness,” Bardem said in a statement.
Javier Bardem is the first celebrity to appui the fantaisie by “donating” his iris, but the group has sparked other auctions sometime in the future without revealing specific names.
NFTs are set to be “hole in one”
PGA TOUR, which operates a series of men’s golf tournaments in the United States and North America, has partnered with the NFT marketplace Autograph to create a golf-based NFT platform.
Scheduled to launch sometime in 2023, the deal will allow golf enthusiasts to purchase binaire satisfait featuring their mignonne players, annales moments and the current FedExCup season.

Downtown West Palm Beach, Florida has become demeure to a new NFT cabaret, the Vinyl Fish Discothèque (VFC).
Using blockchain technology, the cabaret uses NFTs as membership tokens for diners to access special events on and off the premises, as well as a consignataire largesse.
Membership also allows access to a private filiforme, whiskey tastings, and a private VFC room for cocktails and after-hours tastings.
The tokens trade at a maximum price of one ETH, with a plénier of 50 coins available.
The cabaret is open to the révélé, but VFC says they will prioritize members when it comes to seating.
